"Anything Old" Photo Show

Good Morning Photographers!

Each of you has entered photographs in previous WOWSPACE shows. Wanted to let you know of our upcoming "Anything Old" show and hope that you will consider entering.

Curt Knoke will be the juror/judge. The opening show is during the Wittenberg Days weekend which always brings a good crowd to Wittenberg.

If the stars are properly aligned, this show will also be paired with a video art show if we get the grants we are applying for.

Please feel free to share this information with all of your friends and colleagues who share your passion for photography.

Wausau Workshop?

Hi Sharon,

I want to officially inform you that I am trying to arrange some workshops in the Wausau area. I recently held two one-day workshops in Woodruff that were quite successful (according to my students). Three artists from the Wausau area (Sharon Feathers, Cindy Markowski and Carol Hettinga) attended and we discussed what would have to happen to allow me to come down there—and it’s very do-able. Please alert your membership that this is in the works and I hope will happen sooner than later. Audry Wilde of WVAA has also been informed (per Sharon Feather’s suggestion) and hopefully between the two organizations we can make this happen. Here’s what I sent Audry:

I would need 8-12 students and a location that has:
Good light
Restrooms
Good parking
No stairs would be nice
A kitchen would also be a plus

Garden Artist Volunteers

We would like to extend an invitation to any fine artist that would be interested in being part of our Garden Walk this year. We have 5 gardens on the North end of Wausau. Our public garden featured this year will be the Hospice House.
We would like to have an artist in each garden perhaps painting a flower or scene from that garden. If you would like, you may also bring completed work that you have for sale. Theda Hewuse and Cindy Markowski were featured in two of our gardens last year, as a trial. You may speak with them if you have questions.
If you are interested please let me know ASAP. I will schedule on a first come, first serve basis. The dates and times are as follows: Friday, July 13^{th 1pm to 7pm and Saturday, July 14th 9am-3pm. We split our workers up into 3 hour shifts and you may want to do the same.}
I apologize for the late notice. We would like to have this set before February 27th. We have to get our information to the printers and if this will work with the artists then we would like to promote you along with our own event.

If not, PDF is the second choice.

Tonight our meeting was well attended and included rearranging the show and displaying five more works by Dan Mootz.

Dan was a great watercolorist. Thank you to his wife Karen and daughter Miranda for sharing his art with us.

A set of panels containing Dan's work is on the 1st floor; one large piece being on the wall. Please go to the clinic and see it if you can.

Thanks to all who helped hang the art and then fold the brochures after the award winners were announced.

Our blog has now been hit on by every state in the union by almost 10,000 people! That's a lot of hits.

I need more entires though. I don't edit either, you send it to me I post it. Period.

I would like to have this blog be the place to go to get info on not only what our members are doing, but what shows are coming up, entry deadlines, display opportunities. etc etc.

By all means though please let me know about all of the awards you've won, shows you've entered, things you're working on, shows you're entering, anything and everything.

Just e-mail it to me and I will post it. Apparently there are a lot of people looking at this thing so lets get our stuff in front of them! 10,000 people can't be wrong.

Cellar 70 Exhibit space available

Betsy Popp wants all to know that she has lots of space available at the Cellar 70 space at the Trigs near Shopko in Wausau. Groups or individuals are welcome to get in touch with Betsy. There are 28 spots for artwork, with hangers in place ready to go. Shows last for 2 months, so you don't have to take it down right after it gets displayed.
They have wine tastings on Fridays that draw a pretty good crowd
They handle all the sales for you.
They take zero commission.

They are looking for about 20 people for the workshop. Cost is $125

There was discussion at the meeting last night about an option that the CVA has to rent one of their walls in the main floor.
For $300 you can rent a wall for 3 months. Call Rachel at the CVA to get further information.

Very well attended meeting last night. Seating was back to the second row again.
Just so you know, there were several of us looking for members at the usual conference room. We were advised that the new meeting place was one floor up. Just so you know.

There was a treasurers report. We have a lot of money!

The 49th annual Waupaca Art Show is approaching. Please consider entering the show this year. We are always amazed by the quality of artwork that this show exhibits. On a personal note, this year I am again sponsoring a silent auction to raise funds for scholarships to Waupaca High School students pursuing post secondary education in the field of visual arts. To date I have awarded $3,000.00 in scholarships. Please let me know if you would be willing to donate a piece of your artwork towards this worthy cause. The date for the fundraiser is March 9th 7pm-9pm at the Waupaca Ale House.

Share the language of love at a two-part interactive art exhibit to be featured at the Central Wisconsin Cultural Center from February 10, through March 3. An opening reception will be held on February 10, from 5:00-7:00 pm.

The Main Gallery will present a juried fine art

Open Call to Artists ~ All art work to be juried must be delivered to the Cultural Center by February 7, 2012. All mediums accepted in 2D & 3D. Please include gallery labels with artwork. Registration fee of $15.00 (for first four) is due upon registration. Delve your artistry into life's most evocative emotion! Awards & cash prizes will be presented during opening reception.

The East Gallery will be brimming with an interactive photography exhibit titled, "What Love Means to Me". For this display, you may take a picture with your cell phone or camera and submit a 4X6 print on photographic paper in either black and white or color. Include your name and email address on the back, but note that pictures will not be returned. Please deliver your photograph or mail it to: Central Wisconsin Cultural Center at 240 Johnson St. Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54495.
Submissions will be accepted after January 20, and until March 7.

Finding Your Photographic Voice

In this class we're going to delve deeper into our photography and the images we've been creating, to find the story and theme that unifies our work.

We will create a portfolio of your images that will represent your photographic voice. We will be creating new work through a series of assignments designed to challenge you and hone your skills technically, and creatively as we seek to discover what makes your photography unique.

This class is very assignment-focused, with much of our time spent discussing and reviewing students' work. This class assumes a working knowledge of camera functions (Aperture/ISO/Shutter Speed etc.) However, advanced knowledge is not necessary as this class is less technically focused.

CHRIS KIRSCH, PRIZE-WINNING QUILTER TO SPEAK AT WITTENBERG COMMUNITY CENTER

Chris Lynn Kirsch, prize-winning quilter, author, and teacher, will speak at the Wittenberg Community Center, 208 Vinal Street, on Saturday, February 4, at 1 PM. Her topic is “A Challenged Mind.” Join Ms. Kirsch as she takes you on a journey through her inspirations, crazy side trips and the fascinating quilts which have been created.

In the past, Ms. Kirsch’s tools of trade were the sterilized instruments of a dental hygienist. In 1987, she was dragged to a quilting class by her sister-in-law and came away enthusiastically addicted. She says, “I had no intention of becoming a quilter and yet, I discovered I loved all aspects of quilting—the stitchery, the collecting of antique quilts and even an appreciation of quilted art.”

Over time, she began designing her own pieces and a passion for art quilts evolved. Today her instruments of choice are sewing machines, scissors and a multitude of handy quilting gadgets. Ms. Kirsch stitches her magic from a log home in the woods of southeastern Wisconsin, Watertown.

In addition to creating her own award winning quilts, she finds as much fulfillment in sharing her passion with others through lectures, workshops, and leading quilting cruises.

Books by Ms. Kirsch will be available for sale. There is no admission fee; donations are welcomed.

The Walls of Wittenberg is pleased to bring this well known speaker to Wittenberg in conjunction with “The Art of the Quilter: II,” a juried quilt show at the WOWSPACE, 114 Vinal Street, downtown Wittenberg, Saturdays and Sundays, 11-3, through February 13. Please visit the show. Admire Ms. Kirsch’s wall hanging—“Vanishing Point”—which was given an Award of Excellence. Very Special Feb 26th 2012 Meeting Info

Place: Marshfield Clinic-Weston Center, Conference Room 2B.
This is the large conference room that is on the top level (Floor #2), across from the General Surgery Department.
Social hour 5 - 6 pm
Meeting @ 6 pm.

This will be a very special meeting. Please attend if you can.

We will be rearranging the gallery and dedicating a set of panels to honor Dan Mootz.
Dan's wife Karen will be bringing more of Dan's beautiful watercolors. As we hang them as part of our meeting
may we all find peace in honoring and remembering Dan's friendship, kindness and artistic talents.

Judging results and awards for The Winter Exhibit will also be presented.

SHARON ROTZ, PRIZE-WINNING QUILTER , TO SPEAK AT WITTENBERG COMMUNITY CENTER

Sharon V. Rotz, prize-winning quilter, designer, and textile artist, will speak at the Wittenberg Community Center, 208 Vinal Street, Sunday, January 29, 1PM. Her topic is “From Grandmother’s Bed to Museum Walls,” a brief history of quilting as well as discussing a review of traditional blocks and techniques.

Ms. Rotz says, “From childhood, learning embroidery stitches from my mother and making my first skirt in 4-H, I have felt a close connection to fabric.” She pursued a degree in Home Economics Education, worked in the ready-made clothing industry, learned tailoring and dressmaking and spent many years making custom home décor. When she entered the quilting world, Ms. Rotz brought with her this varied background of skills.

Today she is a quilting teacher and speaker, an award winning quilter in state and national competitions, author, commissioned textile artist and pattern designer as well as an exhibitor in numerous show and competitions. She says, “Living in a wooded area of central Wisconsin, (Mosinee) each day I am surrounded by the beauty of nature.” “Armed with scissors and needles as my brushes, and fabric as my canvas, I attempt to capture a bit of that beauty in my work.” She continues, “I love the color, the texture, and the pattern designs of fabric. It is exciting to drown myself in fabric and come up with different combinations.”

Books and patterns by Ms Rotz will be available for sale. There is no admission fee; donations are welcomed.

The Huffington Post, The Art Newspaper“A bill being considered by a House of Representatives committee last month could divide the art world into two camps: those who want to protect their creations from being used online and those who like to use the work of others. The legislation, intended to stop piracy on the web, is meeting strong opposition: Wikipedia co-founder, Jimmy Wales, has proposed a blackout on their site. The measure would impose criminal fines and allow the US government and individuals to shut down websites for alleged infringement. Critics say the steps would restrain free speech and cause service providers to filter out content they were unsure of.”

Our fellow member, Dan Mootz, 54, was welcomed into heaven Monday morning, Dec. 12, 2011, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill. The Rev. Brian Stolarczyk will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at the Waid Funeral Home Chapel and from 10 a.m. until time of services Friday at the church.

A great ?new? idea for Holiday shopping or any gift giving occasion !

-- Birth of a New Tradition!

As the holidays approach, the giant Asian factories are kicking into high
gear to provide Americans with monstrous piles of cheaply produced goods --
merchandise that has been produced at the expense of American labor. This
year will be different. This year Americans will give the gift of genuine
concern for other Americans. There is no longer an excuse that, at gift
giving time, nothing can be found that is produced by American hands. Yes
there is!

It's time to think outside the box, people. Who says a gift needs to fit in
a shirt box, wrapped in Chinese produced wrapping paper?
Everyone -- yes EVERYONE gets their hair cut. How about gift certificates
from your local American hair salon or barber?

Gym membership? It's appropriate for all ages who are thinking about some
health improvement.

Who wouldn't appreciate getting their car detailed? Small, American owned
detail shops and car washes would love to sell you a gift certificate or a
book of gift certificates.

Are you one of those extravagant givers who think nothing of plonking down
the Benjamines on a Chinese made flat-screen? Perhaps that grateful gift
receiver would like his driveway sealed, or lawn mowed for the summer, or
driveway plowed all winter, or games at the local golf course.

There are a bazillion owner-run restaurants -- all offering gift
certificates. And, if your intended isn't the fancy eatery sort, what about
a half dozen breakfasts at the local breakfast joint. Remember, folks this
isn't about big National chains -- this is about supporting your home town
Americans with their financial lives on the line to keep their doors open.

How many people couldn't use an oil change for their car, truck or
motorcycle, done at a shop run by the American working guy?

Thinking about a heartfelt gift for mom? Mom would LOVE the services of a
local cleaning lady for a day.

My computer could use a tune-up, and I KNOW I can find some young guy who is
struggling to get his repair business up and running.

OK, you were looking for something more personal. Local crafts people spin
their own wool and knit them into scarves. They make jewelry, and pottery
and beautiful wooden boxes.

Plan your holiday outings at local, owner operated restaurants and leave
your server a nice tip. And, how about going out to see a play or ballet at
your hometown theatre.

Musicians need love too, so find a venue showcasing local bands.

Honestly, people, do you REALLY need to buy another ten thousand Chinese
lights for the house? When you buy a five dollar string of light, about
fifty cents stays in the community. If you have those kinds of bucks to
burn, leave the mailman, trash guy or babysitter a nice BIG tip.

You see, Christmas is no longer about draining American pockets so that
China can build another glittering city. Christmas is now about caring about
US, encouraging American small businesses to keep plugging away to follow
their dreams. And, when we care about other Americans, we care about our
communities, and the benefits come back to us in ways we couldn't imagine.
THIS is the new American Christmas tradition.
Forward this to everyone on your mailing list -- post it to discussion
groups -- throw up a post on Craigslist in the Rants and Raves section in
your city -- send it to the editor of your local paper and radio stations,
and TV news departments. This is a revolution of caring about each other,
and isn't that what Christmas is about?

Two New Exhibitions - All About Boxes

Boxes and Their Makers: Contemporary Woodworkers
Craftspeople from around the world take the functionality of a wooden box in new directions. Their contemporary designs are sleek, surprisingly clever, and uniquely inventive. The wooden box, claiming a lineage that extends throughout ancient civilization, has evolved from basic usefulness into a vessel of creative expression. These fanciful and distinctive designs demand technical expertise and skilled craftsmanship.
Think Inside the Box
Central Wisconsin artisans - woodturners and woodworkers - combine skill and imagination to create containers that hold items of interest or surprise. Through these hand-crafted containers, artists explore the concept of what we deem meaningful and how we both celebrate and safeguard things held dear. Organized with assistance of Wisconsin Valley Woodturners, a chapter of American Association of Woodturners, this exhibition complements Boxes and Their Makers, which features contemporary woodworkers from around the world.

As the Wood Turns: Lathe Demonstrations
Members of the Wisconsin Valley Woodturners who created artwork for
Think Inside the Box display their skills and reveal techniques that
help them transform wood into beautiful art objects.

Three Exhibitions from Woodson Art Museum Collection Now on View:
A Collective Journey features about 50 stunning works collected by the Museum throughout the last 10 years by well-known and influential artists such as John James Audubon, three generations of Wyeth artists (N.C., Andrew, and Jamie Wyeth), Andy Warhol, and Roger Tory Peterson and George Sutton. (Located in the South Gallery)

Small by Design features small-scale sculptures, many of which were gifts from
Birds in Art artists. (Located in the Decorative Arts Gallery)

Drawn from the Collection features sketches and watercolors from
2011 Birds in Art artists. (Located in the Visitor Services Gallery)

View Repurposed Paper Sculpture
Sculptor-in-residence Steven Siegel has named his Woodson Art Museum sculpture
"Let's fan out." In mid-May Siegel directed the creation of a gently curing wall made of repurposed paper that will grace the sculpture garden for several years to come, weathering to resemble an exposed hillside comprising layers of ancient rock. This acclaimed artist is interested in how his biodegradable sculptures visually impact their surroundings and how they change over time. A corps of volunteers and Museum staff helped Siegel create the sculpture from more than 24,000 tons of donated paper.
Drop by during regular Museum hours (Tuesday-Friday, 9am-4pm;
Saturday & Sunday, Noon-5pm) to see the finished product.

Rib Mounain School Fall Bazaar

Hi Sharon
I'm wondering if you would send a mass email to our members regarding the Rib Mountain School Fall Bazaar.
I have a child who attends school here so the space fees go to the PTO. They have 10 spaces that need to be filled yet for the bazaar which
takes place on Nov. 19, 2011 from 8 am to 3:30 pm. It is a craft show; however, anyone who has anything to sell
is invited. The spaces are 10 x 10 or a bit larger and are $25 each. They charge $5 extra if you need a table and $5 extra for electricity.
They do sell hot dogs and/or Arby's roast beef sandwiches, chips, soda and cookies for lunch and also have homemade bake sale items for sale.

The WVAA and the CVA have joined to bring area residents together for a fun-filled, all-day, bus trip to 5 stellar art destinations with scheduled stops in Green Bay, Manitowoc, and Kohler.

We'll visit the ARTgarage, Lawton Gallery, Rarh-West Art Museum, John Michael Kohler Arts Center, and the James Tellen Woodland Sculpture Garden. Travel in comfort and enjoy an art class, guided tours, catered lunch, and excellent art.
Bus leaves at 7:45 am, returns at 8:30 pm

There are a limited number of seats available for WVAA members at the WVAA member price of $30, and just a few of these are still available.

You aren't a WVAA Member?

Well here is your chance to get a one- time introductory WVAA membership for $15 for the remainder of 2011 AND be able to go on the bus trip for the member price of $30. (Total $45 for the membership and trip).

The CVA has seats for their members at $80 per person. CVA non-member price is $98 per person.

How come these scammers are always moving to South Africa? Anyway, it never hurts to reply, and name an absurd price. The scammer will then immediately overnight a check well in excess of that amount. The check is a fake, but it is always cool to add to your souvenir collection. Plus, it costs the scammers money to do this, and if we can band together and cost them more money than they can scam, we might help eradicate this blight.

Sculptor-in-residence Steven Siegel has named his Woodson Art Museum sculpture

"Let's fan out." In mid-May Siegel directed the creation of a gently curing wall made of repurposed paper that will grace the sculpture garden for several years to come, weathering to resemble an exposed hillside comprising layers of ancient rock. This acclaimed artist is interested in how his biodegradable sculptures visually impact their surroundings and how they change over time. A corps of volunteers and Museum staff helped Siegel create the sculpture from more than 24,000 tons of donated paper.

Drop by during regular Museum hours (Tuesday-Friday, 9am-4pm;

The digital art of Sharon L. Dowis will be on exhibit at the Seippel Homestead and Center for the Arts, Beaver Dam WI as a part of the Beaver Dam Area Arts Association special fall exhibit Digital Visuals. The purpose of the Digital Visuals art exhibit is to highlight the works of digital artists. Art from more than 20 digital artists will fill the art center's eight exhibit galleries.

The Digital Visuals art exhibit opens August 28 and runs through October 23, 2011. Opening ceremonies are Sunday, August 28 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Member Rick Eyre Photographing Bears in Orr Minnesota

Awesome photographing in Orr Minnesota last week. These bears are not in an enclosure of any type, they are not tame, and no they don't do tricks.
I had to show up very very early and attend "Bear Camp" for a couple hours with a supervisor where they teach you all about what to do and how to do it ( don't look them in the eyres, NEVER turn your back, Never run away, speak very softly to them, stay tem feet away, yada, yada, yada, and then they will leave you alone and let you photograph the rest of the day if you seem OK.
They sell tickets between 5 and 8 PM and only allow those people way up on the overhead deck. No tripods.

We are having an arts and crafts supplies sale of all of Mary Thompson's supplies on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 26 and 27 from 3 to 7 PM. It will be held at her house in Wausau. The address is 2606 Gilbert Street.

Some of the items being sold are stamps, all types of paper and envelops, inks and ink pads, Kits, Encaustic art supplies, a kiln and lots of unpainted ceramics, flowers and flower arranging supplies and many other assorted supplies. At a later date the remaing art supplies will become part of a rummage sale with other collectibles and household items Some of these items will be available at the craft sale also and you are free to make offers.

I still have not received a firm confirmation from Cindy Damrow the Director of the School Forest, but she did say she's love for us to have our meeting out there. It's on Thursday the 21st, correct?

Anyway, attached is a Word Document with directions and a map. I'd suggest that we have the "meeting" from 5-8 PM only because while it is still staying light out later, it does get pretty dark out at the School Forest, being so deep out in the woods and all. Anyone is free to hang around longer, but the earlier anyone can come out the better.

I'll be out there much earlier anyway.

I will get back to you on the confirmation, but it should be no problem.

Rhinelander School of the Arts

RHINELANDER - Looking to indulge your mind or expand your creativeness this summer?

For the past 47 years the School of the Arts program here in Rhinelander has been held at James Williams Middle School, but due to renovations at the school this year, the week long event will have a new host, Crescent Elementary School.

Beth Bloom, Facilities Manager for the program, says more than 200 people attend, some coming from all over the nation.

According to Bloom, just about any kind of art class you can think of will be offered. "Writing, art work, water color, acrylics, tai chi, mind, body, and spirit courses, chair caning, beading, quilting, to performing arts, acting."

She says with such a wide range of classes there's something out there for everybody, and if you're on the fence about learning something new there's no better time. "If you never thought that you had that ability or even had just a little inkling and thought, 'Gosh, I really want to try that! Oh, but I don't know if I should.' This is the perfect opportunity to do it."

The week long event starts on Monday, July 24th.

Minocqua Art Show

MINOCQUA - A new art show with a unique twist is touring the Northwoods.

"Drawing Water" opened Thursday at the Campanile Center for the Arts in Minocqua.

It features artwork from five area visual artists and a poet.

The artwork is paired with scientific facts from the area recorded at the Trout Lake Research Station.

Campanile Executive Director Woody Woodruff says the pairing of art and science works well together.

"That's the connection between the two," Woodruff said.

"A meeting of the minds between the asthetics and the statistics. It's a wonderful rendition of all the different things that you see around us here that reflect what art means to the artist. And we can all relate to that because that's why we live here."

There is no cost to attend, although the center is accepting donations.

The exhibit runs through Sunday.

Clean, classic, elegant & contrasting - but there's a wonderful grey area in between all the tints and shades.

Jamie Bilgo:
This black & white series is based on looking at black and white patterns found in fashion textiles, on animals in nature and within Japanese designs. In combining these aesthetic influences, I used various black & white materials including pen, acrylic, watercolor, feathers, leaves, India ink. The off-white paper for these drawings (sourced from test proofs of old intaglio prints) reminded me of an aged black and white photograph. www.jamiebilgo.com

Gina Glembin:
This Black and White portrait series is consists of pen, ink and watercolor. Each portrait is based on different looks found in 2011 fashion layouts. An emphasis is placed on the focal points of personal expression found in the use of accessories and hair styles.

New Work by American Blacksmiths
With an eye toward the future of a vital art form, Iron: 2010 offers a survey of the finest contemporary blacksmithing in the United States. Utilizing both traditional and innovative approaches, the selected artists demonstrate the tremendous breadth of ideas and depth of talent in American blacksmithing today. Artworks encompass the variety of forms that contemporary blacksmithing can take, including abstract and representational sculpture, vessels, architectural ironwork, fire screens, furniture, and other functional items. The exhibition offers both the casual viewer and the experienced metal smith a comprehensive picture of the state of American blacksmithing today.

Historic Tools from the John and Brenda Henson Collection
Celebrating centuries of blacksmithing skill, this selection of tenth- to eighteenth-century European and American tools complements the contemporary work in Iron: 2010
. Before the industrial revolution, hand-forged iron tools were designed and made by blacksmiths who dotted the countryside in villages, burgs, and cities the world over. Blacksmiths were respected for their skill in manipulating iron, and later steel, into valuable tools that helped shape our existence. Tools on view from the Henson collection range from a 1,000-year-old Nordic battle ax to an eighteenth-century ship builder's ax as well as anvils used by blacksmiths to make axes and armor in bygone times. Decorative designs, marks, religious and secular symbols of the day, and dates stamped into the metal both adorn and provide historic context to the work on view.

Repurposed Paper Project Named
Sculptor-in-residence Steven Siegel has named his Woodson Art Museum sculpture "Let's fan out." In mid-May Siegel directed the creation of a gently curing wall made of repurposed paper that will grace the sculpture garden for several years to come, weathering to resemble an exposed hillside comprising layers of ancient rock. This acclaimed artist is interested in how his biodegradable sculptures visually impact their surroundings and how they change over time. A corps of volunteers and Museum staff helped Siegel create the sculpture from more than 24,000 tons of donated paper.
Drop by during regular Museum hours (Tuesday-Friday, 9am-4pm; Saturday & Sunday, Noon-5pm) to see the finished product.

WVAG 2011 Members' Exhibit at The CVA Loft

Opening reception

Friday June 24th, 5 - 7 pm. (Wausau's Exhibitour is 6 - 8 http://www.travelwisconsin.com/event_detail/Exhibitour_Wausaus_Gallery_Night.aspx)

Invite your friends and tell them to show up and vote. We will have a ballet box to collect the votes for a "People's Choice Award."

The winner will be announced at the WVAG meeting on June 30th and an award will be hung in the CVA Loft.

The food at the opening will be the same that is served downstairs in the main gallery. If you'd like to contribute bars or cookies, please do.

Summer Retreat Winners

The Summer Retreat exhibit was judged on Wednesday, June 15th. The judge was Andy Kazukewicz. He is a retired Art teacher from Antigo.

Andy chose 12 out of the 80+ works to receive awards. He felt that several pieces were worthy of an Honorable Mention, or Judge's Recognition; more than two or three HMs that are usually awarded.
