May 17 through July 19

The Bauhaus Studio • Wausau

The Bauhaus now offers Oil Painting Workshops with one on one instruction from artist David Anthony Hummer. Each workshop consists of classes held once per week for ten weeks focusing on classical oil painting techniques. Hummer teaches color theory, composition, canvas stretching, brush handling, and paint application. Students are required to provide their own images/photographic prints to work from. All other supplies are included in the cost of the workshop including oil paints, mineral spirits, palette knives, brushes, damar varnish, linseed oil, and paper towels. There is an additional fee for each canvas of $65.00. Over the course of the workshop, each student will produce one oil painting in the genre of realism, studying color, light, and oil paint capabilities.

The next workshop offered is scheduled for May 17 through July 19, 2014. Class size is limited to 5 students so each will receive one on one instruction in every session. The cost for the workshop is $500.00 in advance. No refunds are given for missed classes. Write "Zentangle Class" on outside of envelope

Zentangle (pen and ink) on paper is all the rage...you will want to be "in" on this amazing, fun creative and easy-to-do art form. "Zen" is in the title for a reason....it is relaxing, calming and can create a "sense of well-being". Ginny has taught over 150 people so far over the past year. Although it "looks complicated", the motto in Zentange is "anything" is possible one stroke at a time." If you want to see some of Ginny's Zentangles you can visit her blog and scroll around under the label: Zentanges". http://ginnystiles.blogspot.com
